Costinesti

Costinesti in Dobrogea

Because it was a lovely March day, warm and full of promise for the spring to come, and my favourite person in the world just came in Constanta for a visit, we decided to take a walk along the sea shore.
Here we are in Costinesti, easy recognizable because of it's specific landmark, the wreck of the ship  E.Evangelia

A few details about the wreck:

Beached in Costinesti on the night of 15 October 1968
She was built in 28 May 1942 in Belfast ( same shipyard as the Titanic :)
Lenght: 131.4 m
Width: 17.4 m
Displacement: 7355 tonnes

You can also spot along the shore a line of bunkers, built by the germans in WW1. At the time they where fitted with big anti-naval guns (280mm).

Hope you enjoyed my panoramic view from Costinesti, and if you did, the best way to let us know is to click the Facebook like button bellow or leave a comment :)
