Public Park

Public Park, Galati in Romania

It was first established in 1864 by Iorgu Ghica. Under the authority of Alecu Moruzzi, the garden was extended, pine trees were planted and a flower garden was built. After the First World war, the garden covered 12 hectares (=0.12 square km, 0.0463 sqare miles or 29.6526 acres)and had two large greenhouses. It is located close to Nae Leonard Theatre and the Student's Complex, offering a beautiful place for recreation and relaxation. It also offers an excellent view-point to the BrateČ™ Lake, the Train Depot, the Shipyard, and the Central Train Station.
