Going to Padina Popii

Towards Padina Popii in Romania

Climbing towards Padina Popii peak, in Piatra Craiului Mountains. Notice the clouds gathering to the south? We could hear from time to time thunder, and we seriously considered going back to Diana refuge.

We found here two very rare flowers: "Floare de colt" ( edelweiss, lion's foot, or Leontopodium alpinum) and "Garofita Pietrei Craiului" (Dianthus callizonus). I will post pictures with them soon.
